Lynn J.
Maier , Esq.
Lynn Maier has been practicing Matrimonial, Family and Domestic Relations Law for more than twenty-five years. She has been a partner with the White Plains, NY law firm of Hoffman, Wachtell, Koster & Maier for fifteen years.
She is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association; New York State Bar Association; and Westchester Women’s Bar Association. Her experience includes having taught Matrimonial Law as an adjunct professor at both Mercy College and Iona College. She recently lectured on Enforcement and Child Support at the Center for Continuing Legal Education program for attorneys at Pace University and published written material to supplement her lecture.
Ms Maier is a former Co-Chair of the Matrimonial Section of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and a former delegate to the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. She also served as a member of the Judicial Screening Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association for nine years.
Her publications include co-authoring a chapter on modification in New York Practice Guide- Domestic Relations (Matthew Bender) and co-authoring an article on Divorce Mediation in American Arbitration Association Dispute Journal. Most recently, she authored “Collaborative Law: A New Technique for an Old Problem”, published in the Domestic Law Review, 2003.
Her published decisions include Boyle v. Taylor, 255 A.D.2d 441, 680 N.Y.S.2d 605, and Yuda v. Yuda, 143 A.D.2d 657, 533 N.Y.S.2d 75.
Presently Ms. Maier is the Articles Editor of the Domestic Law Review published by the Westchester County Bar Association. She is an enthusiastic member of the New York Collaborative Law Group.
